Everything you need is within you—

inner light, beauty, and wisdom — it’s already there.

You are the medicine you’ve been seeking.

I’m just here to help you listen, remember, and return.

Episodes are labeled by theme to make it easy to explore topics that matter to you:

Becoming

I’m trained as a clinical child psychologist, so I view life through the lens of development. We are each in the process of becoming and unfolding into ourselves, no matter what our age. Development doesn’t end with childhood, it continues onward, throughout our lives. It helps to take this perspective, because no matter what we are facing, we can meet it with a sense of self-compassion for our process of Becoming.

These episodes thus discuss the deeply human process of Becoming.

Experiments

It’s healthy to see life as an experiment. It takes the edge out of trying new things and promotes fun and curiosity. These episodes have recommended practices that I try out for fun (e.g., smiling when you don’t feel like) and recommend you try out too.

Reflections

I share my insights and reflections on a topic to help encourage your own reflection on it. Reflection is an extremely important skill that is dying as we our modern lives allow for less and less time to ourselves just to sijmply contemplate life. These episodes are invitations to invite greater reflection into your life.

Pep Talks

When I was a kid, I watched Oprah every day at 4 p.m. because I needed a healthy adult to help me understand emotions and life. I didn’t have that kind of presence in my own life back then — so I found it wherever I could.

Now, I create these pep talks for that kid I once was — and for anyone out there who just needs someone to sit beside them and remind them they’re not alone.

Life Tools

Powerful tools and strategies to help you in life, because life can be hard!!! These are typically my absolute favorite life tools.

Spirituality 101

I live with bipolar disorder, which is an illness with a very high lifetime rate of suicide. Spirituality has saved my life and yet it is not mentioned much in mental health, nor do people discuss it in an evidence-based manner in the current media. These episodes walk listeners through evidence-based ways to explore your spirituality in an inclusive manner.
