Inner Calling with Dr. Victoria
I’m writing a book, inspired by you

Dear innercallers,
I’ve been working on a book for the past three years. It’s about neurodivergence—and about trusting what you know inside yourself, even when the world tells you otherwise.
It explores how hard it can be to believe in yourself, to untangle what you inherit from family, culture, and society, and to make contact with what feels deeply true inside you—and then to have the courage to live from that place. Along the way, I’ve been honored to collect stories from real humans, including patients who generously volunteered to share their experiences in the hope that their stories might offer encouragement and wisdom to you.
Writing a book is really hard. It’s a bit like running a marathon, mixed with the intensity of a cooking show like Top Chef. In other words, there’s an art and a craft to it—to shaping words, scenes, and ideas in a way that actually works on the page.
This page is where I’ll share updates about the book. You might wonder why it matters, and to that I’d say: maybe it doesn’t. But the truth is, I’ve spent countless days writing with you in mind. I really wanted to get these messages to you. So if you’re curious, read on.
Status Update:
I’ve finished the first draft. After that, my mentor, Mark, encouraged me to get an editor’s perspective on the manuscript. The editor’s feedback was clear: there’s more work to do. Apparently, publishing houses don’t offer the kind of close editorial collaboration they once did, so if you want to publish a book, you need to do that deep editorial work before you ever submit it.
So that’s where I am now—working with an editor and refining the book even further. Which means… I’m officially entering my fourth year of working on this project. AHHHH!!! But honestly, it’s okay. You’re worth it. Wish me luck lol.
With love,
Dr. Victoria
